Will I be able to access my domain with and without the www.?

Yes, you could access your site through http://whatevernameyouregister.com and http://www.whatevernameyouregister.com

How long does it take to register a domain name?

It takes only a few seconds to register a domain name.  However, it can take from 12 to 72 hours before a domain becomes active.

Does GTEsystems register its customers Domain Names?

Yes, we can handle the registration for you.  If you prefer, you may register the name yourself and transfer it to our nameservers.

What if I already have a registered Domain name?

You have to change the DNS Servers so that your site can be activated on our servers.  It usually takes 24 - 72 hours for your site to resolve to our servers.  We will email the server names when you sign up for an account.

How do I place an order?

To order an account, simply visit our order page.

How long will it take to set up my account?

Your account will usually be ready within 24 hours or less for uploading via your IP address.  It does take a few days for your name to resolve to your site.  In the meantime you use your site via your IP address.

What method of payment can I use?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

What happens after I order an account?

We will set up your account often within minutes of receiving your order. Our hosting service works on a prepayment system.

Can I resell my account space?

  It is a violation of the terms of service to resell space in a normal account. You can use your account to host a single domain for yourself or a single customer.

Can I use CGI scripts?

Yes, you will have your own CGI-BIN where you can install your own scripts.

Can I use JAVA and Active X?

Yes, you can use compiled JAVA applets and ActiveX components.

Do you host international clients?

Yes, we host all domain names and welcome clients from any country in the world.

Do you restore my site should I need a backup?

Backups are the responsibility of the client. We provide personal backup and restore features via FTP, and it is always good to have a backup of your web site anyway. In the event that a server hard drive crashed, which has never happened, we cannot guarantee that we would be able to restore all your data (no web host can), and it is best that you have a backup just in case.
